Dr. McMullen invited to speak at the North Carolina

Kiawah, SC. Dr. Jonathan McMullen was a guest speaker at the 2009 Scientific Meeting of the North Carolina Society of Plastic Surgeons. The presentation was entitled SSSSAF: Safety in Single Specialty Surgicenters – Anesthesiology Fundamentals. The timely subject of Office-Based safety was well received by about 90 surgeons in the audience, and generated many questions and continued discussion. The main point of discussion was the distinction between deep sedation and general anesthesia. The safety implications of delivering an unrecognized general anesthetic is a major practice philosophy emphasized by all the physicians of Rest Assured Anesthesiology.
